Treating the Whole you

Acupuncture is a natural approach to medicine based on the science of you.  John Zublionis AP uses the Shen- Hammer pulse system, along with many questions, and tongue diagnosis.  The pulse sends messages as to how every organ is doing in your body.  When out of balance we experience pain or disease, when in balance your body can heal.

Using thin sterile needles we can activate the healing process, regulate the body, alleviate pain. These are precise points which have been utilized for thousands of years.

So how does it work?  The body needs 3 things to be healthy, Qi, Blood and Fluids. Qi is energy we get this from the nutrient rich foods we need and restful sleep.  Blood is more profound in Eastern Medicine, it brings the nutrients to the body and nourishes all of our tissues from bone to skin and everything in between.  When we assess the Blood we are thinking of more than just what a blood test tells us.  There is an awe-inspiring saying in Chinese Medicine classic texts " Qi moves Blood and Blood nourishes Qi." When we think of Fluids we are considering all fluids from joint lubrication (synovial fluid) to hormones and even the oils or body produces to soften skin and hair. Every organ plays a vital role in maintaining your health and contributing to the many functions required to keep you healthful. Now this is just the beginning, every Organ's function and clear flow through each channel must be considered.  The interaction of each Organ is always part of your diagnosis and your treatment plan.  Acupuncture is very complex to learn requiring an undergrad degree and 5 academic years of study, intern and externship and last but not least four board exams to earn the Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, required for certification from NCCAOM and licensure in the state of Florida.
